2023 m. balandžio 28 dieną Vilniaus kolegijos Sveikatos priežiūros fakulteto studijų programos „Dietetika“ studentė Rana AbdElSalam (Mansuros universitetas, Egiptas), studijuojanti pagal ERASMUS+ mainų programą, skaitė pranešimą „Prebiotikų vartojimas, susijęs su laktozės netoleravimo mažinimu” Rygos Stradino Universiteto Raudonojo kryžiaus kolegijos organizuotoje 11-oje tarptautinėje studentų mokslinėje konferencijoje „STUDIJŲ SRITIES MOKSLINIAI TYRIMAI”. Studentės mokslinė vadovė – Viktorija Kielė, Slaugos katedros lektorė, ERASMUS+ programos koordinatorė SPF.
Pranešimo metu studentė gilinosi į laktozės netoleruojantiems pacientams kylančius klinikinius simptomus, problemas ir prebiotikų naudojimą simptomams valdyti.
Linkime studentei sėkmės toliau vystyti tyrimą šia tema ir naujų mokslinių iššūkių.

On 28 April 2023, Rana AbdElSalam, a student of the Vilniaus kolegija/Higher Education Institution Faculty of Health Care, studying under the ERASMUS+ exchange programme in the Dietetics study programme (Mansoura University, Egypt), presented a paper entitled: „Prebiotics Ingestion in Relevance to Lactose Intolerance Alleviation“ at the 11th International Students’ Scientific Conference „RESEARCH IN THE FIELD OF STUDY“ organised by the Riga Stradins University, Red Cross College. The student’s scientific supervisor was Viktorija Kielė, lecturer at the Department of Nursing, ERASMUS+ programme coordinator.
The aim of the presentation was to give an overview of the new growing interest in dairy products enriched with prebiotics to enhance the naturally existing microbiota, which is believed to help alleviate symptoms. During the presentation, the student delved into the clinical symptoms and problems in lactose intolerant patients and the use of prebiotics to manage symptoms.
We are delighted with the student’s achievements and wish her the best of luck in the further development of her research on this topic.
