2024 m. kovo 4–29 dienomis Ugnius Gailius, Jorigis Budrys, Mantas Grigaravičius, Benas Jonkus, studijų programos „Kineziterapija“ KI21 grupės studentai, dalyvavo mišriojoje intensyviojoje programoje (angl. BIP, Blended Intensive Programme) „Tarptautinis pediatrinės reabilitacijos modulis“, kurią organizavo Gento (Belgija) reabilitacijos mokslų katedra, bendradarbiaudama su Gento universiteto asociacijos partneriais ir Gento universitetinės ligoninės Vaikų reabilitacijos centru. Studentai ne tik klausė nuotolinių ir kontaktinių paskaitų, kurias skaitė vaikų reabilitacijos specialistai-lektoriai iš įvairių šalių, bet ir aktyviai dalyvavo praktiniuose užsiėmimuose, nagrinėjo konkrečius pavyzdžius taikydami atvejo analizės metodą, lavino profesinius įgūdžius. Studijuoti užsienio šalyje anglų kalba kartu su studentais iš kitų šalių, dalintis patirtimi, semtis žinių – unikali galimybė, įgalinanti ir giliau pažinti save, suvokti savo santykį su pasirinkta profesija.
Kristina Žukienė, Reabilitacijos katedros vedėja, lektorė, ir Kristina Bliūdžiuvienė, Reabilitacijos katedros lektorė, kovo 26–28 d. dalyvavo dėstytojams skirtuose susitikimuose ir paskaitose. Kartu su studentais vyko į VIGO Wetteren ortopedijos centrą. Įgyta vertinga akademinė patirtis, užmegzti glaudesni ryšiai su institucija-partnere atveria galimybes tiek dėstytojų, tiek studentų profesinėms kompetencijoms tobulinti.

From the 24th to the 29th of March, students Ugnius Gailius, Jorigis Budrys, Mantas Grigaravičius, Benas Jonkus „KI21“ the study programme of „Physiotherapy“ participated in the blended intensive programme „International Module on Paediatric Rehabilitation“, organised by the Department of Rehabilitation Sciences of Ghent in cooperation with the partners of the University of Ghent Association and the Centre for Paediatric Rehabilitation of the University Hospital of Ghent. Students attended distance and face-to-face lectures and practicals given by paediatric rehabilitation lecturers from different countries, worked on case studies and were evaluated. The opportunity to study with students from other countries in English in another country and to share experiences with students from other universities was unique.
Kristina Žukienė, Head of the Rehabilitation Department and lecturer, and Kristina Bliūdžiuvienė, lecturer at the Rehabilitation Department, participated in the meetings and lectures for lecturers on 26-28 March. Together with the students, they visited the VIGO Wetteren Orthopaedic Centre. The valuable academic experience gained and the closer relations established with the partner institution pave the way for the development of professional competences of both lecturers and students.
